Tonal study, experimenting with mark-making, I find it a much more interesting process if I make up my own lighting.


13 minute study, interesting breakoff at the head

Most recent, 30 minute study - inks and chalk. I'm still iffy around the eyes of folk.

PLEASE EXCUSE the quality of the photos, they're all pretty large pieces, so I can't exactly get everything in shot without a wee wobble.

Here we have one of few designs for potential wallpapers I am in the process of creating for an upcoming exhibition at a local gallery. The theme is the ever-interesting word 'COAST' so I'm whipping out my Lovecraftian roots and sprawling them over this. Vaguely tesselative, but admittedly not the most powerful design to date.
